Three Super Easy Ways To De-Stress!

Three Super Easy Ways To De-Stress!

This Feisty Life may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Today, we’re going to talk about stress. I know, I know, such a fun subject, but it plays a major role in our lives.  Living in Louisiana, I was under constant stress, so much stress that I gained 30 pounds and withdrew from the first semester of nursing school. Now that I’m living in Florida, the most stress I have is the puppies licking my laptop and barking ferociously when I walk through the door.  However, I still have my moments where I just need a little quiet time to de-stress and refocus. I’ve found the three easiest ways to de-stress for me. Today, I am sharing them with you.

Three Easy Ways To De-Stress

1. Going for a walk kills two birds with one stone

Not only is going for a walk a) quiet and b) gorgeous (if it’s nice weather), but it is SO good for your overall health. Just a quick fifteen-minute walk can be such a big stress reliever and it burns like 40 calories.  Seriously try it, it’s so simple but so effective.

2. Pamper yourself!

  • Unlike my sister, I usually take quick showers. Like 15 minutes is a long shower for me; if my sister ever took a 15-minute shower, I’d probably die from shock. However, I do like to take a nice, long shower every now and then to relax. I take my time washing my hair, I exfoliate, I take my time shaving, and I just enjoy the relaxation.
  • Another way to pamper yourself is doing your nails! I can’t paint my nails to save my life but I’m going to try a hack I found on Pinterest. Basically, you put some plain old Elmer’s glue around your nail and then paint your nails. Peel the glue off and VOILA, pretty nails.
  • Make your own face mask and have a girl’s night! Being around your friends just goofing off can totally lift your spirits.

3. Clean or cook

Cleaning or cooking, or anything that requires a step by step process, can be soothing and rewarding. Staying productive really helps keep my stress levels at a minimum. If I have too much free time, I don’t know what to do with myself.

Don’t let stress rule your life.  There are so many easy ways to de-stress, these are just a few that help me personally. Figure out what works best for you and make sure to take a day to yourself every now and then. Self-care is so important!

What are some of your favorite ways to de-stress? Have you tried the glue manicure hack? Let me know in the comments below!

I love this! I hate to clean but I love to organize; whenever I’m really anxious I’ll start to organize and it’ll help me relax. I’m just like your sister too. It takes me an hour to get ready in the morning and half of that is in the shower… It’s awful for the environment but it’s my me time.

I’m so glad you like the post 🙂 I love organizing too! It is definitely relaxing. Hey, “me” time is so important so don’t feel that bad about the environment. It’s not like you’re showering 5 times a day every day.
